My group also learned the dangers of carrying lots of spare fuel the hard 
way. None of them died because they were smart enough to jump from the 
flaming truck before the fuel exploded, but they lost their truck, most of 
their equipment, and an NPC they had grown fond of (he was already wounded 
and slipped while abandoning the pickup).
