Hey, there's always the possibility of it being reattached via microsurgery.
It's not bloody LIKELY, but it's possible.

The way I'm interpreting it is that natural healing CAN help a maimed limb
heal. It's harder than Hell, but it can happen- that's why the TN is so
high. Medicine can help with the +2 to the Vigor roll due to reconstructive
surgery and the like. Take my previous example of Stephen King- surgery
helped put his shattered femur (I think) back together to prevent
aggravation of the damage, but he had to do all the healing himself, with
physical therapy helping out.
