Right. And 'offscreen time' is a standard cinematic technique, used to
hand-wave away stuff that's going on, but is too boring to deal with, like
helping the townsfolk dig that ditch around their settlement. I mean, you
*could* detail every minute of waiting for the Combine to attack the town
you've fortified, or you can fast-forward to the attack itself...
