Eh. You could do it this way (some solution is better than no solution
I suppose), but I think it makes the possibility of a block and bounce a
bit to easy. And (again using microwave as an example), how would you
handle this with multiple action "buildup" powers? You'd be doing a
helluva lot of vamoosin'...

Perhaps this should only work with "projectile type" attacks or
something?

<chuckle> Wee-HAW! Clunky, true...but fun as hell! I like it! (Last
words of a fellow posse member: "Our grape's shield blocked all five
bolts from the greenie's MIRV? Man, I thought he was dead for sure!
Hooray! Wait...uh...<pointing>...are those what I think they ar...?")

Yup. Follow the same GTERTHT philosophy myself. In terms of new powers
suggested by players I usually ask them if they'd be willing to let me
try it out on them first before giving them a chance to take 'em...helps
preserve that all importance balance issue. :-)

No problem - I like the discussion. Good luck with it. Keep us posted
as to how it works out.
