ah.  sorry if I came off as harsh. was not intended.

If Memory Serves Me Right, it gives you the effective ?d12+4 but your own 
real strength is unchanged, if irrelevant with the Samson on.  I'll have to 
look, but my reason for thinking that is the Samson's strength is not the 
Harrowed's Strength (which is unchanged, hence both STRs are listed) but 
the Machine's STR.  if it is the machine, I don't see why it would go up.

Thus my reasoning.  Nothing saying you can't change it. :-)
