Well, no, I'd rather call upon the power of the Saints and be self-reliant, 
as Templars seem to consider themselves.  Thus the posting of a Templar Gift 
that would allow that...  ;)

But to try not to divert too far from the original post...did the Gift I 
posted seemed balanced and reasonable (both the basic and the Greater Gift)?

It seems like the ability to penetrate armor may have been intended as a 
Templar "weakness".  Although why they (or any other HoE "class") would need 
a weakness is not clear.
