[HoE] Weird West Gadgets in the Wasted West

All right, I need an answer that I can't seem to find in the rules after a 
cursory glance....I know Mad Scientists no longer get inspiration in the 
Wasted West, but what about their gadgets?  I would think they still work, 
but can't find a ruling one way or the other.  And what happens when it 
finally fails a reliability roll?  Can it be repaired?
