[HoE] How Have YOU Done It? (And Rant About GenCon Booklet)

Alright. I tried it a couple of times, and got some replies, so here goes
(this is me trying to get the topic from CCG vs. RPG to HoE (lots of cool
acronyms!))

1) "Iowa: Famine Country": Howbout some more suggestions for Iowa? I know
we've got lots of Marshals out here who run games...you ever take your posse
to Iowa? What'd YOU do? I wanna know!

2) "Real Men Wear Black Hats": How have YOU used the Black Hats and the
Combine in your games without them becoming old and stale? I mean, give me
some varied Combine-related plot ideas, your storylines, thoughts on the
Black Hats as a group, maybe even inspiration for specific (possibly
recurring) figures within the Black Hats (favorite NPCs?)

Alright. Now that I've (hopefully) inspired a flood of great re-tellings and
new ideas, I need to comment after flipping through my recently-arrived
GenCon Pre-registration booklet: (And, as promised, this has NOTHING to do
with the LC CCG/RPG arguement)

Why is it that I noticed, while flipping through the registered RPG events, a
game like 'Kobolds Ate My Baby!" (Note: I'm not badmouthing Kobolds in any
way. Hell, just the name is enough for me to fully sanction the game) has
four seperate events, and Deadlands has only *1*!?!?!? There isn't even a
SINGLE registered HoE event!!!!!

Come on, folks! I'm a starving Marshal here!!!!! All i EVER get to do with
my gaming group is Marshal. I look forward to GenCon simply for the fact
that it's the four days a YEAR I get to play my favorite games! And this
year, woe is me, there is only 1 single event I really want to play (the
Weird West one). <sigh>
