Personally, I liked the adventure. It suffers where all prewritten
adventures suffer, which is in it's concreteness - there's little varying
from what is written. I would have liked more maps/description in places,
but it's pretty solid. It moves the storyline along greatly.
That said, I also have to say that I don't think it is world-shattering. I
think most all of us new Simon was the Horror and was going to die back when
_The Last Crusaders_ was published. And I think the Iron Alliance is
something that we expected to see happen too, in one form or another (mainly
because I think the Combine and Doomies would overpower everyone otherwise,
and that doesn't seem to be Pinnacle's story).
Overall, it makes official what I think many people may have done with their
game anyway. Understand this is NOT a negative comment on the adventure, but
it wasn't altogether unexpected, either. (again, I don't think it was
supposed to be).
I mostly wonder what will happen with the Templars.. Jo tends to not be as
much of an ass as I thought Simon was. Will that endear people to them more,
possibly easing the tide of Anti-Templars? Or will people think they've gone
a little soft? (not that Jo's soft, just softer than Simon).
Of course, I may have missed some things in my reading of it that totally
negates everything I just said... ;-)
