You pretty much hit it on the head, ahem, as it were.

Not much the harrowed can do if it's stapled down to the table.  And a
harrowed can be knocked out by special <magical> means.

The player in question is also a Syker. I was just wondering if the
placement of a spirit fetter in the brainer's head will effect his blastin
ability.
