[HoE] Big Guns (Re: A Silly Question) a little OT
In response, bulets can travel a long way, even the smaller caliber rounds.
Here are a couple of examples:
My dad and I (I'm 12) are walking through the woods hunting deer when
several *thwip*thwip* sounds pass by and there is a rustling of leaves in
front of me. I turn to my father and ask "what was that?" He turns to me,
plain as toast, and says "Bullets. Don't tell your mother." It wasn't
until later in life that I realized how far away I am from the shots not to
hears the Booms (and how close I was to being shot).
The other example is a little girl was shot in Erie, PA in the Main Square
at a New Year's Eve celebration. The bullet was fired by a man a mile and a
half away as he fired his gun into the air (the A-hole had enough moral
fiber to turn himself in after the story aired on the local news)
Another thought: If your character wants to have massive firepower in a
little package, try this weapon on for size (it's a real, working firearm)
OA-93 .233 automatic pistol
Shots ROF Range Damage
50 (Drum) 2/6 15/5 3d8
Muzzle compensator (max recoil penalty: -5), Laser sight, arm brace (so you
don't break your wrist)
I only saw it once on a gun afficiando's site but one of my players is gonna
use it in our modern day deadlands campaign.
