Well, I broached the subject some time ago.  I repost some of my
recommendations here, and add a few new ones.

The audio tracks from Lucasarts' "Outlaws" game are useful in both WW and HoE.

Blue Oyster Cult's "Fire of Unknown Origin" album.  This is the album that has
"Veteran of the Psychic Wars" on it, as well as several other usable tracks.
"Sole Survivor" has a good wasteland feel to it and "Vengeance (The Pact)" is
about the Terrakian <sp> scene from "Heavy Metal."

There are also a few good tracks on Ozzy Ozbourne's "No More Tears" album.
"Mr. Tinkertrain," (Because it's just plain creepy.) "Hellraiser" and "Zombie
Stomp" leap immediately to mind.

Most of Front 242's stuuf is futuristic, dark and kinetic.  I recommend
"Headhunter" and "Happiness."

"The End" by The Doors.  Anyone who's seen the opening scene from "Apocalypse
Now"
knows why.  (Oddly enough, this was the adventure that I used it for.)

"Red Sector A," "Distant Early Warning" and "The Body Electric" by Rush.  All
three
of these songs are available on the "Grace Under Pressure" album, which is
about a
World gone to Hell, anyway.  "Distant Early Warning" is a great Blackhat song.

"Through Being Cool" by Devo and "Peekaboo" by Siouxie and the Banshees make
good
bar songs.

"Police Truck" and "Winnebago Warrior" by Dead Kennedys make for decent road
battle
music, though if you can locate the Mojo Nixion version of "Winnebago Warrior"
from
the Virus 100 compilation, that one works even better.

The opening tune from the game "Fallout" is "Maybe" by The Ink Spots.  Going
along those lines, "Ac-cen-tuate The Positive" strikes me as a cool tune to
use.
