Re: [HoE] Western States and Hoover Dam
Well as to the Mason Dixon line it the (barely) different colored purple line in the HOE map
that is in Wasted west. If you dont own a copy of that, sorry. Its effectively the bottom
borders of NorCal, Nevada, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois.
Hoover Dam is VERY close to Las Vegas. About 10 miles actually. I would thnk that it would
be a serious site of interest to Silas and his mutant brigade. That would be your biggest
worry there unless its a game concerning mutants, then your set. Although I have always liked
the idea of a HOE adventure set on the remains of a dam.
Most all Damns in my game are destroyed. The fact a conventional war was fought for at
least two years would take out most. The power supply and hydro-electric resources would be
prime targets although Hoover could have been spared easily as its flood basin is mainly in a
southern state. (Arizona)
Quite a few large cities downriver of dams would have been wiped out after Ghost rock
bomb destroyed the dams for the same reason. And plus a flooded town is simply to cool a
setting not to mess about in, as per Hell or high water.
