Don't remember the specifics, but apparently someone was experimenting on
sheep (ahem, anyone wanna take *that* line to the OT listserv?), and found
them to be somewhat resistant to radiation.  This was believed to be due to
a specific chemical, or enzyme, or somesuch.  This same substance is found
in Dr. Pepper, and thus, urban legends are born. ;)
