[HoE] Lightning question

This has probably been covered in the errata, but I'm feeling lazy so
I'll just ask here: pg. 97 of the Cyborgs book, the Lightning Bolt
Cannon. The Drain listed is "2/die" which I'm guessing is "2 per die of
damage you want to do", right? But in the description of the weapon:
"Every point of Drain pumped into it does 1d8 damage." So is it:

	A) A base of 2 drain, plus 1 for every additional die of damage?
	b) 2 Drain for every die of damage?
	3) 1 Drain for every die of damage?
