Michael -

    Once again, I enjoyed reading your group's exploits.  Regarding
defaulting to a skill:  I've always done it the same way (roll the base
stat, divide the highest result by 2) and its worked out fine. I'm a big
believer in using whatever you're comfortable with as far as the rules
go.   Loved the Wahoo fun factor call on the bread sculptin' - nice
one.  Did Jimbo tell Jack he was "toasted"?
