[HoE] Demo Teams (Everyone Should Read)
Hi guys and gals,
There's been a ton of email tossed my way about demo teams. Thanks to so many
of you for volunteering, but I just can't have someone who deals with our
fans that I can't boss around.
So here's the deal (and remember, AEG and the regular Bounty Hunter program
are still in place through January 1).
After January 1, we'll have a "Run a Demo" button or some such on our Weird
Web Site. This will take you to a number of items that you can use to run a
demo, including:
A) Introductory adventures for all our games (Deadlands, Hell on Earth, and
Grim Crusade once we get that back on track).
B) Archetypes: We'll put all the archetypes from the basic books up for you
to download, print, and hand to your players.
C) Fliers: We'll have a number of fliers that you can print and put up in
your store, con, or whatever, identifying your event.
What do you get out of it? Not much, unfortunately. As I said when I told you
the demo program was canceled, we just don't have the staff to deal with
every demo personally. We sincerely thank you, and believe these kinds of
things are very important, but I don't want to promise a bunch of prizes and
point systems that don't materialize.
We will still provide prizes for conventions and well-established,
well-promoted store events, if given enough notice. (BUT REMEMBER, this
should all still be addressed to L5RHerald@aol.com until we take over on Jan.
1).
Thanks everyone, and an additional thanks for all those who volunteered to
help. If you want to help, run a demo at every store in your area! We just
can't "track" them for everyone while there's only a handful of us running
the show.
Sincerely,
Shane
