  It makes a pretty interesting story.  But my opinion is that perhaps you 
have over-anyalized things.  After all, I don't give the writers of the 
Devil's Tower Trilogy- at least the last book- that much credit.
   The first two books were good.  The last was just sorely lacking.  There 
wasn't enough resolution in that book for a Marshal, much less the PCs.  All 
it ever was was an opprotunity to bring WW characters to HoE.
   As to answer your question about the importance of Devil's Tower.  I 
think being a doorway to the Hunting Grounds is important enough.
   I think a grand idea would be for the folks at PEG pay for the sins of 
the Devil's Tower Trilogy by making a HoE sequel.  Maybe Jackie Wells has to 
round up a posse- or her old posse from DT- to go back to the Weird West for 
whatever reason.  Maybe a chance to tie PCs from HoE into WW.
   As for Lost Colony and the alien crossbreeds(aka Sleestacks), I have a 
feeling, no matter what the cause, we haven't seen the last of them. Then 
again, I've been wrong before...
