Re: [HoE] Deadwood to New York - travel times

Looking at my 1999 Rand McNally Road Atlas (great for in and out of game
use) and using Rapid City as a close real-life starting point, Deadwood is
about 1,730 mile as the crow flies. Looking at the map it's almost a strait
shot (except the last leg) on I-90 so if he was going day and night at 60 it
would take 1,730 minutes or 28 hours & 50 minutes. Sense the Character is
going all out I'd let him make it in 24 hours, any more and he would draw
too much attention from police and cause all kinds of delays (I assume the
Character doesn't have a license). I'd roll a d10 and for every 10mph over
70 adds +1 (start with a 2 so at 80 mph it's 3 or less on a d10) to the
chance of a cop noticing the speeder every couple of hours or so. For every
10mphs he/she is will to do over 70 knocks off about 3 hours off the 24.

Granted some one from the East Coast may see the travel time differ but
that's how I'd do it.
