First off let me just say I don't own the doomsayer's book yet but from
what I've read so far:

Well Mad Scientists and Junkers could certainly use it for almost anything,
especially if they wanted to be something sing Nuke power!

As for the Glowstick/COntrol Rod debate I just e-mailed the guy from that
site someone sent in.
I remember going to a Nuclear Power Plant as a kid and I seem to remember
the control rods being a bit larger than something you could just carry
around with you.
I'll let you  all know what his response is.
