I'd have to say you are quite off on that definintion of camp my friend.  
Camp is named camp merely because the movies that earned the title were 
popular on university 'camp'uses.  If you want a current idea of 'Camp', go 
to your local University, and sit in on some movie parties.

And yes, Killer Tomatoes was 'Camp' when it came out.
