Folks,
This year I'm beginning what I hope becomes a GenCon tradition (at
least for PEG fans, anyway)
by running a special "invitational" game. This year, it's scheduled for
Thursday at 2pm and should
run right up to the list-serve dinner. The settung will be Hell on Earth and
I'll be providing
characters.
This is a chance to be among the first to play a yet-to-be published
adventure (no further
hints are forthcoming, so don't ask) and I'm dedicating two slots for the
list-serve. However, to
see whether or not you've got what it takes to participate in a Goff
adventure I'm going to run a
little contest. Anyone interested in playing should send me _personally_ --
not to the list -- the
best "Last Words" or "Dying Breath" he or she can think up. I'll choose the
best two responses
(yep, that's rather arbitrary--but what'd you expect from me anyway), and
post the winners to both
lists in plenty of time to prep your coffins.
A couple of ground rules:
Since, with few exceptions, you only get one shot at your dying breat,
you can only enter
once--so make it count.
If I get duplicate answers that I consider to be "winners," I'll take
the one I received
first.
If you're not going to GenCon, please don't enter--it'll only confuse
things for me. ;-)
I'm leaving one slot open on a first-come basis and there's always a
chance someone will drop
out of the game prior to start on Thursday. Thursday morning, one hour after
the dealer room
opens, I'll post a sign-up sheet in the PEG booth. Any open slots will then
be available for
vultures to snap up.
I think that's got everything, but if there are any questions, please
respond to the _list_
and not privately, so maybe I won't have to answer more than once. Oh--I'm
on digest, so it might
take me a few hours (or even a night) to respond.
Have at it!
