[HoE] Got Zombies?

>Thus, Cancer Zombies aren't your typical undead.
>They're deadlier.

Cancer zombies(tm), try 'em! double the lumpiness, half the fat!

>Also, Zombies are sentient, Loki--that manitou in their brainpan isn't dumb.

Now where is the fun in that!? The legion of zombies too numerous to kill
but too dumb for any but the most elementary of strategies, it's an
institution! And when you have them legions of dimwitted (but hungry)
baddies, THEN you have the smart ones who control the dumb ones, and add
drama.

It may be a manitou, but manitous are expressions of the evil inherent in
man. And I've seen enough bad horror films to know that evil can sometimes
be really dumb. (one day I'm going to harrow a character with a Manitou
named 'Thog', whose only phrase is 'Thog.... crush', which, by the way,
will be the last thing another party member hears before the wrench descends).

That's the joy of zombies, you can play them for horror, you can play them
for laughs, you can play them for smarts, play them for dumb, you can, in
short, play them however you feel and they're still zombies! The best
stories are the classics worked with depth and wit.
Look what Anne Rice did for (to) Vampires, from undead cliche' to
disturbingly homoerotic cinema with Brad Pitt. Is Loki saying you couldn't
do the same with Zombies? (although, maybe we can live without the
homoeroticism in HoE zombies, but it depends on what floats your boat).

Power to the Zombies! They're ugly and flesh-eating rot-fests, but we grew
up with 'em, we love 'em, and we're not going to just outgrow them! HR
Geiger can have his insectoid alienomorphic monstrosities, gimme some
zombies any day!
