Re: [HoE] Armour and Gun Browsers

Apparently not. I've been trying to get an answer from Pinnacle and John on
that one for some time now.

The rules are also somewhat inconsistent. There are a lot of times when
they specifically say an armor-type effect "layers" (i.e., Armor of the
Saints). If layering were automatic, then you'd think they wouldn't have to
say that. So the implication is kinda that armor _doesn't_ layer unless the
rules say it does.

But I also believe it says something about armor layering at the Marshall's
discretion. Which really isn't much help.

Well, good luck. I applied a -4 penalty for using HTH and ranged weapons
for being inside a Syker Force Field (kinda figured trying to hold and
utilize something while inside a skin-surface forcefield would be roughly
the equivalent of doing so while wearing a pair of thick gloves). You
shoulda heard them squeal like piggies. ;)

The alternative was for that Templar/Armor of the Saints guy who was a
Greenie Syker, and had Force Field, and a Duster, to be sitting there with
26 total points of light armor, no penalty whatsoever, and no problem with
AP ammo (and in fact reducing the damage by 1 die type).

(Granted, I later rolled 65 damage against him on 4d8 damage. But in
general, he tends to be a walking tank.)

Let me know if you find it...
