Spoilers aren't meant to keep players from seeing information, they are
meant as a (strong) courtesy towards those players who don't want their own
fun ruined by having GM only information placed before them, like the same
courtesy of not discussing the ending of a movie in front of someone who
hadn't seen it.

It gives players the option to censor themselves - if they wanted to know
the stuff anyway, they could just buy the books.

Unless I missed something, I don't think you violated spoiler conventions.  
In a thumbshell - if it's in the the Marshal only section, or if it's about
any details of a published adventure, then it's likely a spoiler and yer
better off tagging it as such.

Posse sections and No Man's Land sections are fair game, otherwise we limit
the discussion too much, and the players who do mind the spoiler notices
end up being cut out of all discussion.
