Speaking of Rob Zombie, White Zombie is probably also pretty good material;
La sexorcisto (or however you spell it) has Thunderkiss '65, Black Sunshine,
and I am Legend on it and Astro-Creep has a couple of good things on it but
I can't particularly remember (which is probably a bad sign). The Offspring
aren't bad, especially for a couple of tracks off Americana. In the metal
category there's the Japanese band X Japan which I like, they have quite a
few ballads, not that I can really tell since my Japanese is pretty feeble.
But its probably pretty easy to justify a couple of songs from any metal or
metal-like band.
The tunes like in the intros of Fallout and Fallout 2 are also pretty
fitting, maybe the song at the end of Dr. Strangelove. Also the scores to
Escape from L.A. and Vampires by John Carpenter, or maybe the soundtrack to
Last Man Standing. Of course there are all the spaghetti western soundtracks
which are still perfectly good material.
