RE: [HoE] [OT] Soft White Underbelly (Was: Sykers)

Blue Oyster Cult and Hawkwind, that I know of.

The connection: Michael Moorcock has written lyrics for both bands (3
songs for Blue Oyster Cult: "The Great Sun Jester," "Black Blade," and
"Veteran of the Psychic Wars"), and actually played guitar for Hawkwind on
some of their songs/albums/tours/whatnot.

BOC has been touring more-or-less constantly for the past 10-12 years.
They're experiencing a surge in popularity due to the Internet. Eric Bloom
(lead singer of BOC) hosts a monthly AOL chat, and the Blue Oyster Cult
forum on AOL is the third most-active forum (the #1 and #2 most active
forums are both about the Beatles). They just released a new album a year
ago, and I'll be seeing 'em on Jan 29th at a bar about 5 miles from my
house.

alt.music.blueoystercult is the place to be if you hang out in the
newsgroups. Very active group.
