[HoE] Book of Revelation (very long & very biblical)
I decided to use the Book of Revelation to put some scare and hope in my
player in my game. As I read the Book of Revelation two things struck me.
I'm putting all here now so I don't have to write it too often.
1) Revelations 6:8-"They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill
by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth." If the
Reconers are the Four Horsemen then North America is the domain they must
have power over, sense they manifested here. This means one or four things.
One the rest of the world is safe from the Horsemen rampage. Two, the rest
of the world may get a visit from the Horsemen but not their minions. Three,
the writer of the Book of Revelations was mistaken. Four, the Reconers are
just using the idea of the Horsemen and can't really read very well.
2) Revelations 2&3-Talks of seven churches. The description of each of the
churches that will help humanity could be the humans granted powers. I will
list the churches and some of the parts that led me to these thoughts;
2:1 to 7- The church of Ephesus- they hate "wicked men" and "test" people to
see if they are true or not. Sounds like Templars.
2:8 to11- The church of Smyrna- they "died and came to life again" and some
will be put in "prison" and be persecuted. This sounds like the Harrowed at
first but I like to think it's the Junkers. They "died" when the manitou
stopped talking to them and "came to life again" doing what they do now.
Also the reference to the prison could mean the prison of insanity, while
the persecution would be for the creation of the Bomb.
2:12 to 17- The church of Pergamum- they have a "double-edged sword" and
live "where Satan has his throne" and "eat food sacrificed to idols" along
will "committing sexual immorality." I think of the Doomsayers. The
"double-edged sword" being Radiation, "where Satan has his throne" has got
to be Las 'Sin City' Vegas, and as for "eating food sacrificed for idols"
and "committing sexual immorality" sounds like their believe of Radiation
satiating them and mutie being the next stage of evaluation. One last thing,
2:17 said that a "white stone with a new name written on it" would be given
to a chosen one. Does this sound like the Harbinger to anyone else?
2:18 to 29- The church of Thytira- this one I not sure on yet. Ether Joan or
Husters.
3:1 to 6- The church of Sardis- they "have a reputation of being alive, but
are dead" and some "have not soiled their close." This passage sounds to me
like the Sykers. It talks about their deeds not being in the site of God and
that something them dies, lie what happens to a man sent to do another man
dirty work.
3:7 to 13- The church of Philadelphia- I can't point to anything but my
feelings are this is the Blessed, and more to the point Old Prosperi.
3:14 to 22- The church of Laodicea- Again I can't point to any one thing but
it feels like Muties to me.
Sorry it so long but I couldn't avoid it. I dout I have to ask what you guys
think.
