Sounds like a darned fine idea.  VotWW = more points.  If he spends those
points on more gizmos (using the Belongings edge), then it only makes sense.
I'd have a hard time imagining it any other way.  I assume the player just
wanted you to give him a bunch of gizmos, simply because his character
background says he's been around a while?  Lemme guess, one of the gizmos he
wants is Mjolnir or the Eye of Vecna...

Be firm, and tell him no belongings means no extra gizmos.
