Re: [HoE] Swords of the apocalypse

One thing to consider would be what is the nature of these swords?
Does the sword of plague cause plagues? or does it destroy them? Does the
sword of death equate instantenous death in combat or does it act as agent
of resurrection?
And also, why would these swords exist, other than the Reckoners
placed them on earth for a reason, why would anyone want them? and if the
swords are a source of good, why would the Reckoners place a weapon on the
planet that could be a key to their demise?
I believe by answering these questions one could come up with
sincerely legitimate reasons for their existance. A possible example might
be that these weapons were not created by the Reckoners but by Catholic
warrior monks in the early middle ages, the monks had known that the day
when the four horsemen would ride would come. So they forged these blades
with faith and steel with the signal purpose of each blade to be the
perfect weapon against said Horseman.
Problem with this idea is that is conflicts with the Book of
Revelations in that the Horsemen were agents of God, sent to destroy the
wicked and divide the faithful from the evil. This brings up the question:
Maybe the Reckoners aren't the Horsemen, but just evil in general and they
found the perfect form for their existance on this planet to be the
horsemen, a construct of horror all humans would recognize.
Definitely a lot to think about.
