[HoE] help on archetype creation

hi,

I'm trying to create a Gypsy archetype.  It's going to be based more on the
romantic stereotype more than the reality.  Just easier to do that so everyone
can understand where I'm coming from.  I would like them to have an arcane
background so they can use the evil eye and some type of curse, speak to
animals, fortune telling, etc.  However, I'm running into difficulty on how to
make this work.  Basically, it seems that the most similar to the effect that
I want is the templar's powers, the shaman's favors or the witch's spells.
I'm leaning toward something like the shaman but not sure on how to construct
the exchange of power.  I like the simplicity of the witch's abilities but
there doesn't seem to be a bad side to using them(am I missing something?)
Anyone have any ideas??
