[HoE] Re: The Kid Archetype

You know, funny thing about character templates, they're just like
everything else in a game: a guideline to use, abuse, or discard as we see
fit. Now, when I read over the archtype, the first thought in my mind was:
Annie... yes, as in Little Orphan. I definately wouldn't insist the
character be 6 years old... after all, the Kid hindrance has a lot of
leeway in that... make her 10 - 12 and things start to fall into line
right quick.
As for the high wind... I've seen my neice and nephew (2 & 5
respectively) outlast their father, who's ex-military and in fantastic
shape. Children have amazing stores of energy, when they want to be
active. And they also seem to have that 'old soldier' knack of being able
to drop off to sleep with a moment's rest.
Now, as roughly half of my Sunday night Wierd West posse was in
the store when Wasted West came in today, when we saw the picture on the
template, we busted out laughing. Make her a little older, and lose the
huge chin, and it just about makes a perfect illustration of our session
from last Sunday!
