[HoE] HoE books

Just got done reading this book that had a nice HoE
feel to it. It's called '48 by James Herbert. Basic
plot is a post apocalyptic type thing, only it takes
place three years after world war two. Seems Hitler's
secret labs had developed a nasty biolgical weapon that
he let loose wherever he could when he saw he had lost.
It killed most people incredibly quickly. A few
weren't so lucky. They have the disease, but its
taking its time with them. A few more were luckier.
They were immune, AB-negative blood types were not
affected. The book is in London and follows a
character named Hoke and some other AB-Negs he's with.
They're being chased by a neo-fascist named Hubble who
is one of the "slow-diers" and the leader of a rag tag
outfit Hoke calls the "black shirts." Hubble wants
Hoke and his friends for their blood. To do
transfusions. Hubble's so crazy he doesn't know it
just won't work. It's in first-person narrative with
Hoke being the narrator. It's pretty good, and with a
little tweaking I figure it'd make a decent HoE
adventure base.
