Good point.

I would like to assume that someone or some group found out what was
happening as ghost rock was burning and didn't want anything to do with it.
 Or maybe some scientist had the Hinderance Allergy: Ghost Rock and was
forced to search for other means of energy.  I'm not saying that solar
cells would be everywhere but I figure that they would be somewhere.  In
the 200 years since the time of the Weird West, some smarty pants had to
look up at the sun and say, "Dang.  Wouldn't that make a neat energy
source?"
