Yup.

If you really wanted to shake thinks up, The US could eventually become
communists (because of the large industrial base at the time of the WBS) and
the South could become a Monarchy (because of the huge class differences
which existed.)

Or you could just split the USA and CSA according to political party
ideologies (i.e., Republican, Democrat)
