Re: [HoE] So, who's on?

I've read the book- and I like it more than deadlands.
While I loved deadlands, I can buy into the story of hell on earth more, the
presented character concepts are stronger than the ones in deadlands, and the
arcane backgrounds are so cool.
My major problem with the game is that (and I can't totally stand behind this
until I see the WASTED WEST sourcebook) I don't think that the fear thing
works out as well. I mean, you have to figure that the apocalypse, lack of
clean food and water, and utter carnage brings near everyplace to a fear level
of 3. Factor in the monsters and people just say, "oh, a werewolf, looks good
for dinner". The comfort that civilization and government that was in
deadlands no longer exists. I always saw a good call of Cth. aspect to
deadlands, but it doesn't seem to follow through in HoE.
I'm sory, I've been going through some real wierd emotions after reading HoE
and I had to vent something. Do you see the f*cking emotion on my face? I was
in a real wierd place (a.k.a. GenCon)
