RE: [DL] James Stuart

A number of things to think about a "James Stuart" rail baron.
-If he is British, to what extent is he backed by people in London
either officially or un-officially?
-Where does he fit into British plans for North America? Remember
according to the Great Weird North, the British already have the
Canadian Pacific Railroad (CPR) from sea to shining sea. (Incidentally,
in the real world, the CPR had a guaranteed 50 year monopoly on
trans-continental railways in Canada.) The CPR is tied into Hellstromme
to some extent. Therefore, it is unlikely that London would want him to
cause trouble for Hellstrome or Wastach.
-If he is not approved by the British, where is he based? The Union or
Confederacy? Or on the outside, is he trying a Mexican route?

They have passed like rain on the mountain, like wind in the meadow. The
days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow. How did
it come to this?"
