Either way, as to this entire discussion, it's an interesting time 
ahead. The d20 tidal wave has hit and is receding a bit, although 
follow-ups are hitting the beaches (3.5). White WOlf is doing something 
that's either suicidal or incredibly brilliant by massively stunting 
their main product line (The WoD is ending in 2004). Smaller game lines 
are making inroads and it's been a summer of game-inspiring movies 
(Various comic-book films, T3, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc.).

I remember taking with a friend back in 2002 about the state of the RPG 
industry, and he was very pessimistic, expecting things to have gone a 
lot worse with many small companies closing up shop. I know it's early, 
but I think we may be on the verge of an upswing, and I'm not going to 
complain if I'm right.
