[DL] Hex

Quick question:
While casting Gambler's Luck and the black joker is drawn is that considered 
a bust? I know a player can still create a hex is the backlash is low 
enough, so then technically it might still go off? The player actually 
argued with me and said it was a bust then promptly threw his chips in the 
bag.
