Re: [DL] Newbie question
You're partly right. If the bad guys (mooks) are not important to the
store, then they can take 30 points of damage before falling down. Not 5
wounds, just 30 points. Yes, 5 wounds times size 6 does = 30, but there's
rounding issues if you convert to wounds. So if a mook gets shot, roll the
damage dice and deduct from 30 until dead.
This makes mooks very easy to put down. This is balanced a little by not
tracking Stun or Wind for injuries, and by not tracking hit location. We do
roll extra dice for gizzard or head shots but still just deduct the damage
points from the 30 starting total. So don't roll wind nor stun checks after
injuring a mook.
This makes shooting at mooks a much quicker combat, and also emphasizes how
mooks are flavour for the story, but the main villains at the end are the
true meaty bits.
