I toyed with the idea of a Senator Whateley as one who supported the
president's war 
policy. Of course being a senator, he'd have lots of power, including power
over a 
large number of people in his home district of Rhode Island. 
And of course black magic.
As for the rest of the clan, there's probably a Whateley or two existing in
the Wasted 
West. Somewhere... ;-)
