Let me try and make this clear one last time. Those
stats given for Stone are guidelines. Something to
make it a little easier for the Marshall when he's
running him. There are two constants for Stone: 1) He
can't die. 2) He can't be stopped. He may be delayed,
but never stopped.

Your players can bitch all they want, but that's just
the way it is. Fairness isn't an issue here. Stone is
who he is and he wasn't given stats for that very
reason.

And the end all be all argument in this whole thing is
that the Marshall has final say. Sure they can fill
him full of holes with whatever massive mad science
weapons they have. So he goes down or is reduced to a
smear on the dry desert ground. Only thing that is
going to do is piss him off when he manages to scrape
himself back together.

Don't look at the numbers. Stone (and a large part of
other stuff in Deadlands) isn't about the numbers.
He's about the feel, the experience. He's the
menancing horror that walks calmly behind you and no
matter how fast you run never seems to fall any
further back.

Numbers can't do that justice.
