Let's see... There's Hieronymus Whateley. The posse met him a few times and he's always creepingly charming. But he never threatens them and has in fact never directly or indrectly caused any harm to  the posse. They just get a bad feeling, when the fellow is around.

Then I have a team of bounty hunters: Jacque Fontaine,  former captain of the French Foreign Legion with battle experience in Indochina and in Algeria. He is a very competent killer, though his social skills are lacking. His companions are:
Johann Waldmeister, a German-Canadian hunter/fur trader and Phil Gallagher, an Irish-Canadian soldier. The three of them went south in pursuit of a now-dead posse member.
Since I have a very small group of players right now (sometimes only two players!) and we're very rarely playing these days, the bounty hunters accompany the posse and help them out. Since Phil Gallager is the most likeable of the three he kinda acts as a mediary.
When it comes to matters of security, Fontaine is still the man to ask ;-)
