Re: [DL] general rules questions
As a reminder, the size of a miniature (be it 25mm, 28mm, 30mm and so on) is
the distance from the bottom of the boots/shoes/feet to the eyes. This
comes from the day when most of them were military in nature, and most wore
hats or helmets. So eyes were used as the standard for measurement.
So ...
For 1" = 5 feet, 28 or 30mm minies are probably appropriate.
For 1" = 2 yards, then 25mm minies are a bit large but workable.
For 1" = 2 meters, then 25mm minies are larger than life.
Whether or not any of this is a problem for you or your gaming group, is up
to you. :-) I find it a little annoying though, when a player or GM bases
a decision based on the relative size of a miniature, rather than the actual
scale of the map the miniature is on.
