Perhaps... but my understanding of Hoyle's coding (and probably Siltgreaves as well) is that it has been deciphered by hucksters-to-be in the past. I would have to think that if someone with nothing more than "potential" can spot the code and determine it's meaning, a full fledged huckster (even if he learned to tussle with manitous in a different way) would be able to comprehend the secrets of Hoyle's book. I agree that shootists would have a hard time learning hexes from either book unless they had a high academia occult in which case they might know of the code, but from my understanding the same code is used by sitgreaves as is used by hoyle. The type of book wouldn't matter if it were a letter code because it be things like an A would be a B ,or the word get would be hex, ect.
