Re: [DL] Wrapping Up

My campaigns tend to fade rather than end as well, but my advice on this one
would be the following:

1) Make it big - grand finales should be bigger, flashier and more
exciting/suspenseful than anything else in the campaign.

2) Make it unpredictable - since the campaign is going to be over, it should
be no holds barred. Make your posse fear for their lives or maybe even the
fate of the world (or a major location in the setting).

3) Resolve any loose ends - not necessarily during the actual final
scenario, but definitely beforehand, make sure any loose ends from character
backgrounds and previous adventures have been resolved. No one likes to see
a really great story left unresolved.

That's my 2 cents worth, anyhow.

Mac

I have a weird situation.

I'm the marshal of our game. In a couple of months, I'm going to be moving
to
another state, which means I have to wrap up the current Deadlands game I'm
running.

In all my years of gaming, I've never really ENDED a campaign - they've all
just faded away. Does anyone have ideas or suggestions on how to end a
campaign?

- Eddy
