1972 was the year the actual Watergate burglary
occurred. The unpleasantries dragged on until 1974. As
for possible Reckoner encouraged events, there was the
incident at the Munich Olympics where seven Israeli
athletes were held hostage and killed by terrorists (I
think it was HAMAS).
