Well, the new
Marshall's Handbook suggests using miniatures and chips to allot damage.
However, the crux of the situation is just keep track of hits. Have the
posse roll for location but only if its gizzards and noggin do you actually
keep track of location. Just keep up with how much damage the "mooks" have
as they get hit. If you need a number of how much damage, just remember
there are 6 levels of wounds and most baddies are size 6. So, if you
multply each other (36), you could allot 36 pts total to each "mook" and then
have them lay down. If you have extra chips, just take them out and, as
per book suggestion (p.15), keep track of the modifiers.
White=light wound (-1)
Red=heavy (-2)
Blue=Serious (-3)
2 Blue=Critical (-4)
Since gizzards and noggin are the most vital, just assume that 3 wounds would be a "cut off"
point. Now, I am not sure if everyone uses this idea. I know I don't
have any miniatures to "chip." But, since i do have a uber battles coming
up soon in HOE. I am using this idea (sans chips). Hope this
helps
