Well, quite by chance a really good adventure I ran was based on an old "real ghostbusters" cartoon.
It Features A Con man, a huckster and a saloon gal & a big inuit demon called "Hob Anagarak"
Basically the conman finds something north of the border trapped in a block of black magic ice. This is the ancient demon called Hob. It is said that the inuit peoples believe that god made the earth before human beings, then it placed a great demon to watch over it, HOB. When the humans came, hob attacked them, they defeated it and sealed it in a block of black ice.
The conman hires the huckster for his arcane knowledge and is announcing in town that Hob Anagarak, the ancient one, is to be released and unveiled at some big event.
The possee has some clue that this would be a bad thing.
The ritual goes ahead and hob is released, in order to put him back they need the man who released the demon, the con man and a woman, kind of a inuit union. The job is simple. protect the trio long enough so that they can finnish the ritual. by this time the demon has of course caused major destruction.
They also have to convince the trio that they want to do this........
It was fun, people died, players cried and I laughed. of course no one hads to die.
