Actually I watched a special about how different contries view World War 2.  
Japan pretty much is in denial.  They would be happy if the whole world 
forgot about it.  Some other funny tidbits

More then half of French families claim they had a grand parent that was a 
freedom fighter.  Of course someone crunched the numbers and realized if 
that was true,  they probably would have drove the Germans out way before 
the allies landed.

The Most accurate accounts of the War are taught in Germany.  They don't 
deny anything or skim over evil that anyone committed.  Almost the complete 
opposite of what the Japanese teach.
